Application for the 2017 Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program is now open. The program is for students interested in pursuing an advanced degree (PhD or PharmD/PhD). Learn more about the program and the application process here.

EMT course to be offered Spring 2017 at WVU

This is a 150-hour course includes basic training in all aspects of medical care an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) may provide in the state of West Virginia. National Registry testing is given at the conclusion of the course through the RESA 7 EMS council. This class regularly requires a large time commitment inside and outside of the classroom.

Monday and Wednesday Evenings

Class includes 6 Saturday Sessions: Jan. 21 / Feb. 11 / Feb. 25 / March 18 / April 1 / April 22

Summer Health Professions Eduction Program application is now open

Formerly SMDEP (Summer Medical and Dental Education Program), the program expanded for the Summer of 2017 to include a broader range of health professions beyond medicine and dentistry to include pharmacy, nursing, optometry, public health, physical therapy and physician assistant. 

This FREE academic enrichment program for freshman and sophomore college students interested in the health professions is hosted at 13 institutions across the United States.  Funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the program’s goal is to increase diversity in the health professions.
